On Danell showcase backdrop - by idolhunter production

This is my first and biggest project so far, a photo-shoot for Danell Lee, a 28 feet by 15 feet backdrop of Danell for his showcase at the MCA Hall.

7uncle.com is one of the sponsors, well why not.. he is my son anyway – He is the Malaysian idol for season 2.

Its not just photography but its hard work physically and mentally to produce an art piece

It's not just photography but it's hard work physically and mentally to produce an art piece

It was not a plan but an impromptu decision to take up the photographic project. But it was well worth the experience and I have learned such a great deal from this event.

Along the way while shooting and designing this piece of backdrop, I had to invest alot of money and time into it.  I love photography anyway and to see my piece of work on display.. it’s a rewarding and satisfying experience.

So I decided to add in photography into my 7uncle.com business.

Alot of test printing had to be done while creating this project

Just email: lckuang@tristooges.com or call 012-4319159 – should you need photographic works to be done, our team will be most willing to participate.

Planning to buy a CAR?

Slowdown signs – Car sales dip in US, EU and Australia – 16 Feb 2009

Planning to buy a CAR?… let’s find out what is happening around the world of automobiles and it’s tsumani big wave about to hit us soon….

It is reported that the credit crunch and global recession continues to destroy demand for cars in the US, Europe and Australia. German car sales, registrations and exports all fell by 14% or more in January 2009, while Australian car sales fell by more than 18% in January 2009.

US car sales fell by 38% in January 2009, worse than expected and even worse than the terrible 36% plunge in December. Chinese sales are falling, 2008 sales rose 6.7% on 2007 when they jumped by more than 21%. They were supposed to hit an annual 10 million by the end of last year, but instead 9.5 million were sold.

Figures overnight from the US confirm a further slump in car sales last month, with the annual rate put at 9.8 million units, the lowest since 1963. The news from GM for January was terrible. Sales were down by 49%, while Ford saw a 40% plunge. Toyota was down 34%, Honda, 28%. Nissan was off 30%. But the worst was Chrysler with sales off a huge 55%.

All this means that for those getting bullish about steel, coal, iron ore and the like, think again. With construction down, and cars in a big mess, there’s no sign of any concerted demand for steel or its raw materials. _

now you know why car companies are losing money or close to it

Thousands of new cars are stored on the runway at the disused Upper Heyford airbase near Bicester, Oxfordshire, on December 18, 2008

Just look at the cars at the port, its fill to it's capacity

Sales of new cars in the UK have slumped to a 12-year-low and production of cars at Honda in Swindon has been halted for a unprecedented four-month period because of the collapse in global sales and represents the longest continuous halt in production at any UK car plant.

The announcement comes on a day when the EU’s Industry Commissioner Guenter Verheugen warned the outlook for the European car industry was ‘brutal’ and predicted not all European manufacturers would survive the economic downturn.

We begin this New Year with dampened enthusiasm and dented optimism. Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organizations and nations. Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health. They expect the financial experts to provide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.

Every new year, I adopt a couple of old maxims as my beacons to guide my future. This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older. This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.

* Hard work: All hard work bring a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

* Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current.

* Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income. Let your investments get you a second source of earnings

* Spending: If you buy things you don’t need, you’ll soon sell things you need.

* Savings: Don’t save what is left after spending; spend what is left after saving.

* Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender’s slave.

* Accounting: It’s no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking.

* Auditing: Beware of the little expenses; A small leak can sink a large ship.

* Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet. Have an alternate plan ready

* Investments: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

I’m certain that those who have already been practicing these principles remain financially healthy. I’m equally confident that those who resolve to start practicing these principles will quickly
regain their financial health.

Let us become wiser and lead a happy, healthy, prosperous and peaceful life.

Terubok Sarawak

Popularly known as Terubok Sarawak, this fish and its process in Kuching has given its name. Being an importer and exporter of fish, we know that Terubok Sarawak comes from Myanmar, we call it as hilsa fish and we export a lot of them to Kuching, Sarawak to be made into salted fish.

We studied into the market of this fish as to why is it so in demand in Kuching but we realise that most of the customers are from West Malaysia. I tried to market them in Kuala Lumpur but realize that the demand of the fish was not there. As we looked deeper in the market, we came to realise that most of the sales are at the airport and finally we found the answer. Terubok Sarawak is more like a tourist product, people from West Malaysia goes to East Malaysia and when they come back home, they will back some back since we cannot find them in West Malaysia so this species is a best buy at the airport. Airport being very strategic location since there is only one way back and every west malaysian have to pass thru’ so the airport is the best place to sell such products.

Now I have found another way to sell it…
By postage and we have decided why not try to market it this way. Terubok Sarawak cannot be sold in the market. One thing it cannot last and another thing is that it is not a meal where we take everyday but just occasionally.

Check it out here for more details how to get hold of this product.

Why I don’t have enough?

Some of us work so hard to earn a living while some just enjoy life and live in abundance?

You always curse the world for being unfair to you. You work so hard and wondered WHY?

Now, let’s come back to the formula of + and – things.

ask yourself, how many + things you do
and how many – things you do?

Let’s start with a salaryman.

+ things = my salary
+ things = my wife’s salary
+ things = Bonus
+thing = odd jobs once in awhile
+things = my wife gives tuitions
no more.. no time left. hey be fair man.. we got only 24hrs !

Now list all your (-) things
– things = house rental
– things = car hire purchase
– things = credit card repayments (never-ending- compound interests)
– things = breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper (plus children)
– things = weekend movies, shopping
– things = weekend outing (pubs) with friends (hey I need a break)
– things = wife – facial, sliming course (hey I need to look good for my husband)
– things = children’s piano lessons
– things = Insurance premiums (When I die least my family has something)
– things = Car repairs, petrol for travelling
– things = inflation? compounds further yr – things
– things = endless n endless – things when u start to think of it (scary)

Now add up all the + things minus the -things = do you have a + or –

That’s why you don’t have enough.
